jQuery T-minus Countdown Widget
The jQuery T(-)CountDown Widget is a WordPress sidebar widget that was built to display a sexy countdown timer in the sidebar.
Quick note to all the creative wizards: If you have developed a sweet new style and want it included (with due credit, of course) post a link in the comments below, and we will add it to the default style package for the next upcoming release. Extra points if it has a Star Wars compatible name… like Wookie for example.
Combining the flexibility of WordPress with a proven newsletter system like MailChimp seems like a natural choice. But what is the best SEO Friendly workflow for creating both a newsletter in MailChimp, and a Newsletter Archive in WordPress? After researching what plugins where available, a clear path was not easy to find. Some examples of great plugins that help WordPress and MailChimp play well together include:

- MailChimp Archives – add MailChimp archives to WordPress. (3-Stars, 1,700-Downloads, Last Updated: 2010-8-25
It is this last plugin that starts to raise some questions about the best workflow for using WordPress and MailChimp. Where should the content originate from, WordPress or MailChimp? Ben, one of the smart monkeys over at MailChimp nicely outlines a few possibilities, but makes his choice clear:
I usually recommend [the client] create content in their blog, then publish it to their email list automatically via our RSS-to-email tool
While this sounds painless… RSS is not the same thing as a Newsletter. The following is what I consider the ideal workflow for creating content using WordPress and MailChimp.

Using this method will not only generating trackable newsletter traffic, but also provide a clean, SEO friendly Newsletter Archive.

Listed Related Attachments is a small wordpress widget and shortcode that will list all related attachments for the current post or page. The widget can filter the listed attachments by mime/type such as image, image/png, application/pdf, etc.

Animated Skycrane for blowUP Project
Using the open source animation package: Blender 3D, Twinpictures created a 3D animation for blowUP Skycrane. The blowUP Skycrane is a cube-shaped, rear-lit advertising framework specially designed to fit around high construction cranes. Chainsaw Torn Metal

3D chainsaw torn metal created in Blender 3D
Metal tear was modeled and rendered using Blender 3D, a free open source 3D content creation suite. The final image was composited in Photoshop, then digitally printed on the decal media. Decal applied by skilled hands of master werbetechnik Guido Schultz one of the Die Zwillinge (that means ‘the twins’ in German…but you probably already knew that.)

Precision Dental Implants
Precision 3D Dental Implants for OSSA-dent brocure.
Precision 3D models of various dental implants, modeled and rendered using Blender 3D. The models where designed based on .dxf files of the original engineering blueprints exported from AutoCad. The final renders where composited in PhotoShop and then sent to Die-Zwillinge for the creation of the OSSA-dent brochure.
The opensource Blender community was an extremely important resource in helping to solve some of the more complex modeling issues related to this project. Special thanks to blenderartists.org and in particular Syziph, who proved to be a true master when it comes to 3D modeling in general. To keep all members of a team on the same page, everyone needs to know what the daily tasks are, not searching for notes. TASKmanager software has been written to simplify and share status on things that need to get done. TASKmanager is not a complicated system, but rather, a simple to use scheduling-software.
Each user has an account and can independently enter appointments and tasks. Simply by checking the box, the task is marked as done. The appointments, projects and tasks of your colleagues that have access, can coordinate and share tasks. Additionally, joint tasks can be created and shared with one or more colleagues. If there are changes, like a client changing an appointment, simply make the modification via drag & drop. Furthermore, all entries are saved in a database and are searchable. All the entries for a specific client can be listed between a specific date-range, giving a detailed report on which tasks have been performed.
For the advertising agency “Die Zwillinge” (The Twins) this software has been the solution for the paper chaos on their desks. “Everybody noted tasks on big and small sticky notes: calls, project information, names, to-do etc.”, recalls Jörg Schultz, co-owner of the agency. “That is why we asked our partner agency Twinpictures for a software solution with the most important criteria: it must be simple and intuitive to use!” Since the initial release in 2004, several small and medium-sized companies are happily using TASKmanager for their daily planning.
